Prayer Service for Life in RichmondThe 4th annual Prayer Service for Life was held in Richmond on Friday evening, January 23rd, the day after the March for Life. Hosted by St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Glen Allen, this dynamic and uplifting prayer service provided an opportunity for individual and community prayer and included readings from the Scriptures, words of inspiration, a candle lighting ceremony and songs and music led by “Offering,” a Richmond area contemporary Christian band. Special musical guests included Tom Kazcmarek and the Gospel Music Workshop of America Choir, Richmond Chapter. A reception followed the service. For anyone who has been personally touched by abortion, this service also provided comfort and healing. It was a wonderful experience for those present to join Father Jay Biber and fellow Christians from a variety of different churches and ministries for a very special evening of prayer and a joyful celebration of life! It was also a good example of the way pro-lifers throughout Virginia remember the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, looking ahead with confidence to the day when once again our country’s laws will celebrate life and protect it from conception until natural death.
