Every two years, VSHL elects the members of its Board of Directors at the final Board meeting of that year. The Board consists of five members of the Executive Committee, the immediate past President of VSHL, and District Coordinators who represent the chapters and members around the state. Candidates for District Coordinators are nominated by chapters in their respective areas.

The Executive Committee elected for the next two years are Brenda Fastabend of Lynchburg, President; Cathy Driscoll of Chesapeake, Vice President; Don Parker of Alexandria, Treasurer; Bob Follett of Annandale, Secretary; and Geline Williams of Richmond, NRLC Delegate. Louise Hartz of Richmond is the immediate past President, having served for six years through 2001.

District Coordinators elected at the meeting are Kathy Nowinsky of Newport News, Bill Old of Chesapeake, Eleanor Bell of Portsmouth, RoseAnne Brisson of Chesapeake, Jayne Clowater of Palmyra, Mary Enochs of Lynchburg, Suzanne Walsh of Glen Allen, Don Parker of Alexandria, Maureen Whalen of Leesburg, and Catherine Rayder of Alexandria.
