National Right to Life Convention Returns to Virginia

The Virginia Society for Human Life is host for the 32nd Annual Convention of the National Right to Life Committee being held July 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington. The three days are filled with choices for among 60 workshops on an array of pro-life subjects, three general sessions, a congressional reception, prayer breakfast, and closing banquet featuring actress Jennifer O’Neill, celebrity spokesperson for the “National Silent No More Awareness Campaign.”

The opening session on Thursday morning, July 1, features Virginia’s own Kay Coles James and Charles James as keynote speakers. In her former position as communications director for NRLC, Kay James was frequently seen on national television brilliantly debating the right to life with abortion supporters. NRLC President Wanda Franz, Ph.D. is mistress of ceremony for the opening and will present a video address from President George Bush.

Major topics to be addressed at the convention which has as its theme “Infinite Possibilities” are the ethics of treatment decisions, the 2004 elections, and post-abortion healing. A Youth Convention designed for teens and college students also takes place and childcare is provided for a nominal fee.

On site registration is available for the full three day event or for those who wish to attend only part of the convention.
