Lynchburg Chapter Hosts Delegates

Del. Kathy Byron was featured speaker at the quarterly meeting of the Lynchburg Chapter VSHL on March 21. Just back from the 2002 Session of the Virginia General Assembly, Del. Byron reviewed legislative bills on right to life issues and spoke about ways citizens can be effective in influencing the outcome of legislation. Del. Preston Bryant also attended the meeting held at Timberlake Baptist Church. A video of three women’s testimony given at the 2001 General Assembly in support of Virginia’s informed consent law was also shown.

The chapter will have education exhibits at two events Saturday, April 20. Holy Cross Catholic Church is holding a health fair to which the chapter is invited. VSHL educational materials and resources will also be available from chapter volunteers at a home education conference to be held on the campus of Liberty University.

Two chapter members, Kip Smith and Brenda Fastabend, have been invited to present workshops at the National Right to Life Convention to be held in Pittsburgh June 27 to 29.
