The Catholic Diocese of Richmond has awarded a grant of $3,500 to the Virginia Society for Human Life from its 2002 Diocesan Respect Life Fund. VSHL was among more than 30 organizations and services receiving grants in Virginia and nationally. The fund comes from collections in diocesan parishes in January on the weekend closest to the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, which overturned state laws in the United States prohibiting or restricting abortion.
