Two benefactor families have generously agreed to a combined pledge of up to $100,000 as a 35th anniversary matching grant for contributions made to VSHL. This means that your 35th anniversary donation to VSHL (above the $100 price of the anniversary dinner) will be matched on a dollar-for-dollar basis by the benefactors.

Even though contributions to VSHL are not tax deductible (since we work to change the law), you can get even more benefit from this matching grant opportunity. (As an example, if you were considering a $1,000 contribution and your combined federal and state incremental tax rate were approximately 30%, then a tax deductible $1,000 contribution would actually cost you $700. However, by making a non-tax deductible contribution to VSHL of the net amount of $700, VSHL would actually realize $1,400 because of the matching grant. Even better, a contribution of the entire $1,000 would result in $2,000 for VSHL!)

This is an exceptional opportunity to double the effect of your contributions during this 35th anniversary period. It’s a great way to help save babies before birth and protect vulnerable patients and the medically dependent from the threat of euthanasia.
