Louise Hartz Receives AwardFormer VSHL President Louise Hartz has been honored by her Alma Mater, the College of Mount St. Joseph, with an award recognizing “the generous service you have given over the years to your community, to pro-life advocacy, and to countless individuals and organizations.” Specifically mentioned in nominating her for the Sister Mary Lea Mueller Human Service Award was her “long-standing role with the Virginia Society for Human Life” as well as her other volunteer efforts with the Virginia Board of Nursing and National Council of Catholic Women. The award was presented at a ceremony on June 7. Mrs. Hartz was president of VSHL for six years from 1995 to 2001. For the past two years, she has been VSHL’s lobbyist at the Virginia General Assembly.
