Respected Pro-life Democrat Retires

Among the list of state legislators who have announced their retirement from the Virginia General Assembly is pro-life Democratic Delegate Vic Thomas of Roanoke. Del. Thomas has represented the 17th district in the House of Delegates since 1974.

Vic Thomas has been a dependable pro-life vote throughout his entire legislative career on a wide range of life related issues. Owner and operator of a market, Vic Thomas is a well-liked man in his community and in the legislature who wins reelection easily, most often without any opposition.

Commenting on the retirement, VSHL President Brenda Fastabend said over the years Del. Thomas could always be counted on to vote pro-life. “He just seems to have a moral compass and never goes off course. We’ll really miss him.”
