Communicating the Pro-Life Message

As usual, VSHL Communications Chairman Fiona Givens has been very busy lately. In addition to lobbying legislators in her role as State Legislation Chairman, she spoke in February on Informed Consent and PAPA at the Virginia Conservative Grass Roots Leadership Conference in Richmond. In January, she and Burke Balch of NRLC spoke about PAPA to the Bioethics Committee at Lewis-Gale Hospital in Roanoke.

Mrs. Givens had an interview on informed consent with Tony Macrini on WTAR Radio in Virginia Beach. She was interviewed on the syndicated John Arnold Show originating in Detroit, heard in several cities including WOL in Washington, DC; Mr. Arnold then invited her back a week later for a listener call-in program.

Schools were also on her agenda with presentations at Tidewater Community College and at Stonebridge High School in Virginia Beach where she discussed pro-life issues with the juniors and seniors.
