The Virginia Society for Human Life Political Action Committee (VSHL PAC) has endorsed Jo Ann Davis for the Republican nomination for the First Congressional District seat in the House of Representatives. This seat is currently held by Representative Herb Bateman who is retiring at the end of this term. Five candidates are vying for the Republican nomination.

Jo Ann Davis has served in the Virginia House of Delegates for the past three years and has compiled a perfect pro-life voting record. "Her solid pro-life positions on a variety of life related issues would make her an excellent Representative for Virginia in the Congress," said Larry Stine, chairman of the VSHL PAC.

The primary will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2000.
