Virginia Delegate Harry B. Blevins of Chesapeake won the 14th State Senate District seat formerly held by Randy Forbes in a special election held on September 4. The seat was vacated when Mr. Forbes won the 4th Congressional District seat in the House of Representatives in a June special election.

Mr. Blevins has been in the House of Delegates since 1998 and has voted consistently pro-life. He had no opposition in the special election.
