Note to Senator Chichester On Parental Consent Bill

Delegate Dick Black, chief patron of the Parental Consent Bill, HB 601, hand-delivered the following note to Senator John Chichester on the Senate floor on Feb. 28, 2002:

John:

HB 601, Parental Consent for Abortion, is before the Senate Education and Health Committee.

The Committee split 7-7 on passing the bill. Your vote alone will determine whether this bill is passed or dies in committee.

Will you instruct Sen. Barry to vote your proxy and pass the bill?

Your decision will determine whether 1000 unborn children will live or die in the coming year.

Delegate Dick Black

Senator Chichester did not act on this request.
