New House Speaker Has Pro-Life Record

Delegate William J. Howell of Stafford County has been picked by House GOP Caucus to be the next Speaker of the House of Delegates in the Virginia General Assembly. While the full 100-member House will vote on the nomination when it convenes on January 8, 2003, the GOP nomination is all but official since Republicans comprise almost two-thirds of the House membership.

Elected to the House in 1987, Del. Howell has compiled a 100% pro-life voting record during these past fifteen years.
